Parting Gifts

Vietnamese Ribs

It's been long, too long really, since I fired up the smoker and got things going again. Sure there were efforts put forth, but mainly laziness prevailed over good intentions and I have not produced any barbecue since October (gasp). I'm not sure this weekend would have changed that either if it were not for the thoughtfulness of my now ex-co-workers.

Best Drinking Game Ever!

So The Meatwave blog might have been put up a little prematurely, since I have yet to barbecue or grill anything this season (shooting to start on Sat), but that that doesn't mean you shouldn't have meat on your mind.

I've noticed that whenever The Meatwave comes up while I'm out drinking with friends, the rest of the night turns into a game of who came come up with the best Meatwave names. The results of this past Friday were:

Internerd Superstar

Internerd Superstar

Not even a day old and The Meatwave gets a foodblog nod. OK, OK...I knew about this in advance (hell, it's me being profiled), and I *might* have rushed this site out early to coincide with a mention on Midtown Lunch, but still, it's exciting none-the-less. Go get reading about The Meatmaster's Midtown eating habits before it gets totally lost in the tubes of the internet.

A brief, yet very long, history of The Meatwave

timeline
Welcome to The Meatwave.

I'm guessing if you're not one of the 40 or so people who've actually been to The Meatwave, that might not mean much to you yet. So I figure it's best to start up this blog with a little back story, just in case you're wondering how a boy raised in a Kosher household in suburban DC found a love for barbecue in NYC.

The exciting adventure awaits you >>
