Carne-val 2009

It's not a summer without the celebration of all that is meat, Carne-val! I decided to take things more literally this year and get as many types of meat in as possible. Beef, pork, chicken, and lamb were all on the menu to make the day a feast spanning the spectrum of delicious animals.

Holy Meatrimony
When I scheduled a Meatwave a weekend before I was to get married, I got more than a few people deeming me certifiably insane. I was warned that a week before the big day was going to be crazy, and I'd be far too busy to be bothering myself with meat. I say the meat stops for nothing, and the meat went on, wedding or not!

Meatual Admiration Society

I'm done making excuses, it's been 2 1/2 months since I last wrote...I'm just a bad blogger. So for you loyal fans out there, I'm still cooking, still loving meat, but I'm just not writing. I'm making no promises on any regularity here, maybe it'll happen one day, but for now I'm just going to try to play some catch-up, documenting this past summer's excellent Meatwaves.
I last left you with some survival stories from the Meatdemic, which was followed two weeks later by the Meatual Admiration Society.
