Choose Your Own Meatwave

Meat Choice

The end of the Meatwave season has come with a lot of unrealized dreams. Cataloging all that I did not accomplish and trying to decide which of those recipes I should cook up became too daunting of a task, so I'll leave the tough decision making to you.

Meatwave readers and eaters alike can choose this weekend's menu, which is classic barbecue style. The only thing I know must be on the menu is my very first smoked brisket, but the rest falls on your shoulders. Get voting!

Meatocracy Rules

Meat Vote

With the dire times we're currently living in, it's more important than ever to express your rights in our glorious Meatocracy. Make a vote for meat by leaving a comment letting me know what you'd like to see or eat this weekend at the final Meatwave of the season, Yes Meat Can. Working together, I'm confident the Meatwave will be triumphant!

Where's the Meat? Pt. II

Posted by

Inquiring minds have been wondering, "Where's the Meat?"

Despite my best intentions, I have officially been bad to my blog and for that, I hang my head in shame. But things are looking up. Warm weather is prevailing over this great city, knocking me out of my hibernation ritual of endless Super Mario Galaxy and into extreme motivation to yet again bring on the meat!

Keep your eyes peeled, because soon the Meatwave will be coming back at you in full force!

Where's the Meat?

Posted by

The end of summer has found me out and about, not in front of a computer for the last week and a half or so. Although this trend is going to continue until after Labor day, it doesn't mean that I have forgotten this blog or my dedication to the meat. Quite the opposite, I've been been eating my heart out, or is that eating my heart to its death? Either way, the meat is still on, circumstances have just made it impossible for it to find its way onto this blog yet. If you're in need of a real meat fix, you best start preparing yourself now for the celebration that will unfold next Sunday, Sept 9, at New Pork City. Multiple types of ribs are already in the works for this blowout to commemorate my tenth year as a resident of New York City!

Take that NY Times!

Posted by

Does it seem fishy to anyone else that only 2 days after my post about the pursuit of an excellent homemade burger, that the NY Times came out with one of their own? Hmmmm...

Seriously though, go read it, since they have some different, very good, suggestions for you, and all I really want in life is for you to make a good burger.
